Where the heck are the "Search Engine Optimization Technics" on this site!!!? Don't bother searching for any list of the SEO Technics on this site. This site is for talks about what is good or what is not good in the SEO world, maybe I will talk about any specific technic, white or black, but this website is not intended to provides with a "direct", "easy to use" or "out of the box", "Search Engine Optimization Technics" list. Do you know why? - Because it does't really exist, I mean, as a fixed and no-questionable list. There are some basics (Title with keywords, css templates, metatags, dynamic tite per page, copywriting...), for sure, but I am not here to talk about those basic things :). Newbee or Advanced, you need to browse and read this site to start discovering the seo world. Google is changing and ruling the things frequently. So there is not a list to give you. Just browse the site, read and have your own conclusions and apply them to your site. You can contact me in any case, I am sure I can help you!

Once again, the joomla cms is giving us so much pleasure to work with, not only for its features, but also for its SEO approach. Ok, it needs some twiks to do, but the results are very impressives. The dynamic titles are not coming as an "out of the box" feature, I mean, Yes it does, but not as effective as this method suggest, "Dynamic Titles in Joomla" Some explanations: The Joomla cms originally comes with this Dinamic Titles feature included, but I think is not really optimized for best results on search engines, google specifically. Here is why: The title displayed 'out of the box' looks like this: "Your Website Name, Some Keywords - Home" (when you are in the homepage), and also can look like this: "Your Website Name, Some Keywords - Internal Page Title" (when you are in some internal page) As you can see, the part "Your Website Name, Some Keywords" is always in the first part of the title. Google and most of the search engines doesn't read after a certain number of characters, that means, all of the text, words, after the "Keyword" word in our title example here, will not be read, nor indexed as a valuable keyword for our website, and obviously we don't want that.

My first answer always will be to choose the whitehat technics, because, simply, nobody wants to get penalized by google. But after some years working on seo projects, looking for results, been penalized once (yes! I have been penalized by google once, and for this Godmarketing website), using and testing white and blackhat technics, I will nearly say that there is not a real blackhat and whitehat technic to use or not to use!, infact, I come today with a different definition or description of What Is Blackhat and What Is Whitehat. Today, for me, a blackhat technic is an abuse of a whitehat technic, or let's say, a whitehat technic can easily become a blackhat technic because of its misunderstanding and unproperly used. What are the best search engine friendly cms's ? I have been asked many times about "What is the best cms (content management system) to use in order to have a better search engine optimization" - My experience shows me that the best cms's outthere are Drupal and Joomla, and the well known blog system Wordpress. More and more companies have already understood that the use of a good cms is a key growth factor for their business website, the first reason is the need to make frequent updates to their sites without having to edit everytime its website's files and having to make really tedious task everytime we want to make an update. But there is another reason, an important reason should I say, and it is the Search Engine Optimization solutions that some of those cms's provides with.

Images Alt Text, Very Important in Your SEO Project
When you go to see your site's cache version in the google text browser (you can access this through the google tool bar), you will see that the names of your images are there but not the images, and in most cases you will see the names of the images if they don't have any alt text inserted. If you look well, you will probably see even your arrows, points, separators... images with their original names, such arrow.jpg, separator.jpg... You know that these names will also play as keywords for your website, so you can consider, without abusing, to give them another names or give them with and alt text, an alt text that will be relevant to your site.
What would be considered as abuse by google?
I don't really have a prove about this, but I think as google can also look at the tags to see if there is an abuse, google can also look after these alt texts if there is an abuse. So in my opinion, just don't take the risk, the price can be really high.... who wants to get penalized?, not you, don't you?
